Thrift Up! SPAT PTA FALL SERVICE PROJECT
Save your stuff to share with others! Event: October 7, 2023 11 am - 2 pm at Attea. We are collecting used items the week of 10/2 -10/6 that can serve students in grades K-8 in our D34 community! Below are some ideas:
D34 spirit wear that no longer fits.
Musical instruments or music books you don't use anymore.
Drop off all your great books you have already read!
Sports equipment that is still in good condition!
Board games, puzzles, and toys that are in decent shape, but that don't get played in your house!
Unused art supplies! For more information, visit the FAQ site

Included in this link is a list of what NOT to donate.

What is Thrift Up? Thrift Up! is a one day thrift event of donated children’s activity items appropriate for students in grades K-8. All donations are collected from our Springman & Attea families prior to the event and offered to our D34 thrifters for FREE!
You can visit the Springman Attea PTA website for more details listed on our FAQ https://sp-atpta.org/community-services-projects/thrift-up-fall-community-service-project-faqs
We could use your help in two ways!

1. Ransack your home for grades K-8 children’s activity items your family no longer uses or has grown out of and donate them to Thrift Up! Collection dates are 10/2-10/6 during school hours, and can be dropped off at the main entrances. On FRIDAY 10/6, 2pm-4pm, Attea will be hosting our last effort in collections with a drive-thru drop-off.

2. You’ve heard this before, but it always rings true…”Many hands, make light work.”, so please sign up to volunteer! Middle schoolers received an email to their Schoology account to sign up, and below is the sign up for students and parents/ HS students. If your high schooler needs service hours, this is a great way to earn them (sign up your high schooler on the parent sign up please.)

This is our first year rolling out this community service project and we are hearing great responses about donations…but we could also use our “D34 Village” to help make this a successful event. We would greatly appreciate any amount of time you can offer the PTA in this effort!
